ACIR Participates in Tech Transfer Seminars in Georgia and Kazakhstan


alt textCRDF Global invited ACIR to participate in a series of Technology Transfer Office manager training seminars in the countries of Georgia and Kazakhstan. The seminars are part of a U.S. State Department initiative to help promote innovation and commercialization in the countries of the former Soviet Union. The participants in the two day seminars, held in the cities of Tbilisi, Georgia and Astana and Almaty, Kazakhstan, included both TTO managers, government officials and innovators from both private and public research institutions. Participants listened to and interacted with U.S. experts on a variety of practical topics over the course of the two days, including how to value technologies, a day in the life of a TTO manager, how to determine your target market demand and the basics of training innovators to talk to potential partners through effective technology descriptions.
